Russell Bedford EMEA with International Tax Conference 2026
Russell Bedford International recently welcomed members from across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond to Amsterdam for the 2026 EMEA with International Tax Conference, bringing together firm leaders and specialists to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the profession.
CEO Stephen Hamlet and Chair Daniel Ryba welcomed delegates to Amsterdam, before host firms Boon, Stolp+KAB and Van der Meer kicked off the conference with an energetic introduction to the city while sporting iconic Dutch orange jackets, setting the tone for a collaborative and engaging event.
Stephen then shared an update on the continued growth and development of the network, celebrating a landmark year of growth across every region, surpassing USD $1 billion in global fee income and the network's recent shortlisting for Network of the Year, while highlighting the opportunities created through international collaboration and the collective strength of Russell Bedford's global community.
A recurring theme throughout the conference was how firms can adapt and thrive in an increasingly complex business environment. Behavioural scientist and leadership expert Ben Tiggelaar explored the psychology of change, providing practical strategies to help firms navigate transformation, build resilience and successfully implement new initiatives within their teams where there may be a reluctance to embrace change.
Tax developments also remained firmly in the spotlight, with Jeremy Mindell examining the evolving global tax landscape and the challenges likely to shape the years ahead.
On day two, attention turned to the future of the profession. Steve Cox of Concentric International challenged delegates to consider how data, technology and changing client expectations are reshaping accountancy and advisory services, while workshops covered topics including EU e-invoicing, innovation and R&D opportunities, audit developments, and the tax implications of permanent establishments.
The conference concluded with a session on succession planning led by Stephen Banks and Deanna Salo, encouraging delegates to think strategically about leadership transition, future growth and securing their firms' long-term legacy.
